Reason #381 Why I Suck (Sorry, Grandma)

I can't BELIEVE that my awesome Grandmother turned 80 yesterday and I didn't say a thing about it on the blog. Not that Grandma knows what a blog is, mind you, but it's the thought that would have counted. In my defense, I was preoccupied yesterday getting some last-minute birthday festivities planned for the weekend. (Since I already mentioned her blog-less existence, I don't have to worry about spoiling it here.)
Anyway, I know it's not much, but happy birthday to my grandma who I love very much. Every kid should be lucky enough to grow up with a Grandma like her. She's an old-school Grandma - the kind that bakes cookies and makes five courses for lunch (all from scratch.) She doesn't understand computers, I think she even hates them. She loves having company and always emphasizes that you never need an invitation. It's only been in the past 20 years that she started wearing pants on a pretty regular basis. By that, I mean she wore dresses all the time. Don't you be thinking that kind of stuff about my grandma! She still lives in the same house she's lived in since 1955. She's patient and loving and will give you anything that's in her power to give you (and wishes she could give you much more.) She's a wonderful lady who deserves much more than this little paragraph, but that's what I have to offer right now. I'll see her this weekend (hee-hee. She has no idea!) and hopefully I can show her a little more love then. Happy birthday, Grandma.
