Memorial Day
I just wanted to take a quick moment to give my respect to those who have given their lives for this country and my condolences to the families who will forever deal with the loss of their soldiers. Military service is not a pretty job, but I am grateful to everyone who is willing to put his or her life on the line for me and my family.
I also have the utmost respect for those who are risking their lives for us right now. Regardless of your politics, what you feel about the war, or whether you believe they should be over there in the first place, these people have given themselves over to our government and said, "Wherever you feel like you need me to be for the sake of our country, I'll go." To me, that is huge.
I'm thankful that I've never known anyone personally who died serving our country and I pray that I never will, but God bless the souls and families who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
