Sunrise, Sunset...

A few days ago, I got an envelope in the mail. I knew what it was before I opened it and I had been sort of expecting it, but I still wasn't quite prepared for it. I opened it up and read it. My second cousin, Todd, is graduating from high school.
You see, we have a history. He spent pretty much every weekday of the first year or so of his life at our house. My mom watched him every day. Of course, as an 8-9 year old girl, I loved it. He became Tracy's and my favorite playmate. I was the flowergirl at his parents' wedding, I remember when I found out she was pregnant (we were at Grandma's for my sister's 5th birthday), and I remember going to the hospital to visit him and his mom when he was born (the nurse mistook Tracy and I for twins and I was furious.) So, even though I knew on an intellectual level that the day was coming, I still couldn't help feeling a sort of shock when holding that engraved name card in my hand. There's no way he could be graduating from high school...I just graduated from high school. No wait, I'm old now! I keep forgetting that!

For the sake of nostalgia, here are some short video clips from my days with Todd:
